"Itu untuk lelaki"

Hello.
I stayed at friends place last night and now I'm blogging from her laptop. ha.
Yesterday was fun, minus the classes I had in the morning. They were boring as usual.
I have a group assignment due in a week but my friend and I haven't done anything. doomed !

Anyway, after class I went straight to the city, my friend Pinka wanted to attend Indonesian Film Festivals Actors Meet & Greet at Ramenya.
Like a good friend I am, I decided to accompany her (well, actually I just want to go to the city. haha).
It says on the poster that the event will be held at 6pm, since it's Ramadhan month and most people, including my friend are fasting.

We decided to meet up at Monster Threads, because I wanted to buy a watch there but the store was closed for lunch -_-' So after we meet up, we went to Southgate instead.
We went to a store where they sell various items for dancers.
My friend love to dance, she joined Flare Dance program at her school so she needs some things for her upcoming performance.

Look what I found there !!
Unbearably cute T_T
Tiny little ballet shoes gaaaahhhh

After Southgate, we went back to Monster Thread and they're open, thank God.
They have the cutest display for the watches. So colorful!
I was browsing the watches section of the store since they have tons of color and it was really hard for me to decide which color should I take.
I was rambling with my friend in Indonesian we were like..

"Warna apa nih!?" = "What color should I take!?"
"Eh yang ini lucu!" = "Hey this one is cute!"
"Eh bentar, yang ini lebih lucu!" = "Wait, THIS one is more cute!" , etc.

I tried the medium sized watch and since it's a rubber watch, it slides smoothly but it was too loose.
When I tried the small one, it was a bit hard to get it on but when it fits perfectly on my wrist.

I was unsure whether to take the S or M one, and then I started rambling in Indonesian again.
Suddenly the lady at the store said..

"Yang itu untuk lelaki" = "That one (size M) is usually for men"

My friend and I were shocked.
The lady who work in the store can speak Indonesian! And after a brief conversation, she said that her husband is Indonesian and her mom lives in Bali, that's why she speaks Indonesian.
It was my first encounter with a local who speaks Indonesian, pretty cool (and random) !

Pinka also chip in for it, since she hasn't bought me a birthday present. haha
Look! The packaging is like a canned tuna

In the end, I got the olive colored watch in small :)

We wander around to kill time and then at 5 we went to Melbourne University because Pinka got an interview to join Indonesian Student Association.
I met my other friends there too, I even met 2 of my seniors from high school.
It was really awkward for me because I'm the only Deakin student there...
My friends name was called a bit late so we rushed to Ramenya as soon as she finished her interview.
But when we got there...
There were no signs of life, just random people eating. Bummer~
My friend was a bit disappointed at first, but she's fine. haha. Nothing serious.

corn cheese!

half-half chicken ($30)

We went to a small Korean restaurant in Little Lonsdale for dinner.

We ordered their famous fried chicken (original + sweet chilli), corn cheese and a bottle of soju.
Like a boss.
The portions were huge so we ended up taking some chicken and corn cheese home.

Last but not least!
It's been awhile since our last purikura !

Phew.. Did I talk too much?

challenge accepted!

Greetings :)
Yesterday was a very fun and also tiring day.
I had Human Resource Development class at 11 in the morning and 2 groups did their training session and we learn how to fold napkins and also ... line dancing! ha!
The napkin folding team had a competition at the end and I became the champion of napkin folding and received tons of Mars bars. haha
The training sessions are assignment for this subject, where we have to plan, arrange and perform a training session with different topics for each group. My group will be doing ours in the next 4 weeks and we got balloon animal as our topic which is really difficult to explain... zz

It was raining when I went to the gym after class and a dog jumped on me, leaving its mud covered paw prints all over my jumper and jeans (didn't take a picture of the jumper, sorry!). Lucky that dog was cute... or I will be really pissed off

Good thing I brought my gym clothes, so I changed afterwards.
The gym appointment went really well, the trainer gave me a customized program that I have to follow (for free!). I was a bit nervous because he added the weight on the leg press machine. I usually do it at 15kg but he said I have to do it at 20kg, just because .. I can (strong!)
I heard that for a female, we don't need the machines to be too heavy, we just need to add more repetition to get lean muscles. If we make it heavier, we will end up having bulky muscles which is really unflattering for a girl in my opinion.
I told the trainer that and he said I must trust him. If I end up with bulky muscles, he will be my personal trainer for free. Haha! We pinky sweared over this!
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

I did a little bit of exercise after my gym appointment and I followed all the things in my program. And then I had Zumba at 7.15. SUPER TIRED, as usual.
I don't know if it's good or not to eat after gym, but my friends and I ended up at Subway, eating. haha! There's this one Asian guy (I think he was born here, looking at his English) who works there, he was nice, and he talks in a really friendly manner, but his expression was really flat! Such a poker face o_o
Dude, smile.

My friend D introduced us to a lot of drinking games yesterday! I was really slow at guessing how to games work but I did understand them all in the end, yeyy for me not being so stupid!
Next Saturday's sleepover will be sooooo muuucchh fun!

ciao!

Great Weather, Boring Activities

Hello everyone,
I must say I loveeeeee today's weather!
It was bright and sunny. Another perfect day to go out and have a picnic..
But instead I stayed at home. Lame as usual.

In the morning (8am!) I attended my Business Communication tutor and had my group presentation. I'm not a 100% satisfied with the performance but I felt ok, I think we did a pretty good job delivering the information. Good thing that the tutor class only have 8 students (including me and my team members of 3, so that makes it 4 people as the audience), so I wasn't really nervous.
We had to wear formal clothes and I only wore a black midi dress with a thin waist belt while the other girls wear blazers and really nice shirts. bummer.
They looked really professional while I looked like I was going to church -_-'

After class, I went home straight away. I was planning to go to the gym, but I forgot to bring my running shoes so.. no gym for today.
The sun was shining, I was happy, and my bed looks really tempting, so I took a nap, with my curtains open, letting me soak those glorious sunshine. Yes, I love sleeping under the sunshine.
But I don't like to get tan. Like, I don't go to the beach to tan myself, I'm already dark o_o
It was a really good 3 hour (!?) nap.

Then I made myself a sandwich for lunch with a French roll bread I got from the bakery I'm working at.
For me, the sandwich was somehow healthy because I used different veggies and no meat, just cheese and butter but it sure tasted pretty damn good to me!
I would love to have a press-grill/toaster like the ones they use in cafes. So much quicker and efficient for toasting!
[French roll bread with butter, cheese, baby spinach, tomatoes, button mushrooms, and cucumer]

And I spent the rest of the day infront of my laptop.. Writting my other assignments, watched Running Man and Nigella Lawsons recipes on Youtube. That's pretty much everything for today :)
Hope tomorrow will be better!
Uh oh. I have a gym appointment tomorrow.

Sugar Coffee

Wow. I suddenly have the drive to write. Nice!
Probably because my days have been pretty hectic with all the assignments and not to mention, life outside the internet (omg! I have a life!?)

August 2, 2011
Attended my college's graduation ceremony but I wasn't part of the robe-wearing students who received their certificates, I just..well, watched. Sad?
Not really.
I actually graduated too, my name's on the list of graduates names but I came back to Australia from my 3 weeks holiday in Indonesia quiet late so I didn't get the chance to register myself for the ceremony. That's ok though. I think the robes are uuuuggghhhlly anyway :3

After the ceremony, my friends and I made a surprise birthday attack for my friend who had his birthday a week ago. It was not really a surprisse though, he already knew that we were going to attack him.
We basically harassed him. lol. We dressed him up with a bra + pantie (but he still had his clothes on!), threw him into the pool, taped him onto a chair and drenched him in a horrifying concoction we made.

Ingredients include; expired milk, expired shrimp sauce, pickles, eggs, flour, ketchup, tuna, etc.

It was super gross ! I felt sad for him :p but oh well, at least we all had fun!

August 5, 2011:
I went to the city after class by myself (yes I do enjoy self-companionship very often) and bought myself an Ukulele!
The reason why I bought an uke is simply because I'm inspired by Victor Kim and his awesomeness.
I was planning to buy the white or red Uke but it was sold out already and I couldn't wait any longer so I purchased the orange one. Pretty neat :)
I can't don't play guitar. It's too hard for me to reach for the tabs with my stubby short fingers! An Uke is so much better :)
I made a promise to myself that I'm going to master Train's "Hey Soul Sister" on my uke!

August 13, 2011:
I work as a casual now, in the same cafe I've worked in for the past few months due to my very bad uni timetable.
After 2 weeks of no income T_T I was asked to work today! Yey!
Though it was really frustrating to go out on a very cold morning, I enjoyed being able to work again :)
I had several people complimenting my coffee. That was probably the best part of my day! It was more than once, so I hope it's not just a coincident :p

Have you guys tried this new BigM milk? Choco Berry. hhmm.. not bad..

Oh, we sold a lot of 300ml BigMs today.. Couldn't resist to take a picture of these colorful bunch!

Getting compliments from customers might be the best part of my day, but the most memorable was when a customer approached me and asked for one thing I have never EVER heard before in my entire 19 years of living ...
"Hi. Can I have one regular cappuccino .. with 5 sugars?"
wtf
